The main purpose of DEAF, Inc.’s website is to provide information to individuals. Your privacy is important to us and we are committed to protecting it. We want to make you aware of our online practices regarding the privacy of your information.

Information collected

Our website does not automatically collect any individually identifiable information, such as email addresses, from visitors.

We collect personal information when you provide it in the course of interacting with the site. At deafinconline.org you can contact us with questions, comments, to make service referrals, register for a class, volunteer, or make a donation. When you do, we may ask for information that can identify you, such as your name, address, email address, telephone number, fax number, or information about your interests and activities.

If your personal information (such as your address) changes, you can notify us by contacting info@deafinconline.org.

If you want to be removed from our email mailings, please send us an email and we will remove your email address from our list.


We use appropriate procedures on deafinconline.org to ensure the security of your personal information and to protect it from unauthorized access. All information that you provide through deafinconline.org is transmitted using SSL (Secure Socket Layer) encryption. SSL is a proven coding system that lets your browser automatically encrypt or scramble data before you send it to us.

When you use your credit card at deafinconline.org to make a donation to DEAF, Inc., register for a course, buy tickets for an event, or any purpose, we use a Stripe account to help protect your privacy. We abide by the privacy policy set forth by Stripe; we do not collect any credit card information.

Unfortunately, no data transmission over the internet is 100% secure. We strive to protect your information; however, we cannot completely ensure the security of such information.
