Hello ASL/Signing Community,
DEAF, Inc.’s ASL Program has an exciting announcement to share with all of you. We will offer two brand-new classes; Deaf Culture and Numbering in ASL.
Deaf Culture class
Our 5-week long Deaf Culture class provides a deeper insight into Deaf Culture. The class will divulge into a specific topic each week including but not limited to: 1) overviews of deaf communities in the United of States and 2) Deaf Identity and how factors shape our Deaf Identity and Culture (hearing status, educational background, history, art, etc).

If you are not sure about enrolling the class due to your ASL proficiency, you still can register for the course as we are providing an ASL interpreter during the class.
Although we also provide ASL 1 to 4 classes, these classes are more focused on building American Sign Language fluency. They don't cover deep parts of Deaf culture and identity, two very important parts for you to be more aware and equipped to form closer connections with Deaf people and the Deaf community.
Numbering in ASL class
One of the most common struggles ASL learners have is signing numbers while following ASL grammar rules correctly. We completely understand that it is very confusing.
Let me give you some examples:
Money-related: how should I sign numbers money-related?
Here's a different example: how should I sign time-related numbers?
There are a lot more examples and topics to be discussed in-depth. That is why we are offering Numbering in ASL class.

Exciting, right? What are you waiting for? Come register and let’s have fun!
