The Female Condom is a soft, loose fitting plastic pouch that lines the vagina. It has a soft ring at each end. The ring at the closed end is used to put the device inside the vagina and holds it in place. The other ring stays outside the vagina and partly covers the lip area. Helpful Hints: * Latex condoms for men are highly effective at preventing sexually transmitted diseases, including AIDS, if used properly. * If you are not going to use a male latex condom, you can use female condom to help protect yourself and your partner. * Before you try female condom, be sure to read the directions and learn how to use it properly. List from FC Female Condom leaflet. www.femalehealth.com
Are specially designed as a barrier for use while performing cunnilingus (oral/vaginal sex) or oral/anal sex (rimming). When properly used, may help reduce the risk of catching or spreading many sexually transmitted diseases such as syphilis, gonorrhea, chlamydia infections, genital herpes and AIDS. However, they cannot eliminate the risk. During intimate contact, lesions and various body fluids can transmit STDs. Therefore, the dam should be applied each and every time before any such contact occurs. Information from Sheer Glyde Dams
